Bob Smith is President of Apricus. In this role, he oversees sales and marketing, the development of new products, and evaluates potential acquisitions that will enhance the company’s overall growth while supporting the corporate vision.
Over the past three decades, he has been recognized as one of the leading executives in the workers’ compensation industry, with a reputation for increasing national sales at several companies by 200-300 percent. He served as senior vice president of RSKCo, a division of CNA Insurance, where he was instrumental in developing RSKCo into one of the industry’s leading third-party administrators. He has also held senior leadership positions at premier ancillary service companies within the workers’ compensation industry including Healthcare Solutions, TechHealth, and Universal SmartComp. He holds a BA from Curry College and an MBA from Heed University.
Vice President, Sales
Ted Smith is senior vice president of national sales. With more than 10 years of experience in the workers’ compensation industry, Ted is an expert on managing ancillary services, including diagnostics, durable medical equipment (DME), and home health services. In his current role, Ted has worked to grow and expand the company’s offering. By nurturing key customer relationships, he has driven company revenue to meet and exceed financial objectives. He tracks industry trends, using these insights to lead a national team of regional sales directors. He holds a BA from Curry College.
Vice President, Account Management
Jim Begg leads a team of account managers and is responsible for maintaining and growing existing accounts and helping the sales team in business development of new customers. Jim is also involved in developing metrics to ensure the clients’ buying experience is a good one. Previously Jim worked with Genex Services, for over 26 years in both account management and business development roles in the national account area. Jim holds a BS in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University.
Vice President, Strategic Programs
Craig Evans is vice president of strategic programs where he oversees key initiatives including new program implementations, expansion of existing product capabilities, and supports revenue growth.
Craig has a diverse background in the insurance industry, having held roles in workers’ compensation, group health care, and auto reinsurance. His experience covers a variety of areas such as operations, finance, provider relations, product development, and underwriting. Throughout his career, he has held many senior leadership roles in a number of specialty network organizations. Craig holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of Rochester, as well as an MBA from Carroll School of Management at Boston College.ally.
Chief Financial Officer
Christopher Atkinson is CFO for both Apricus & Coventry Workers' Comp Services. He brings a wealth of financial accumen to the organizations. He began his career with KPMG in Nashville, Tennessee in the Tax and Assurance Services departments and also worked for PhyCor in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance.
Vice President, Information Technology
Laurie Dickson is our Vice President of Information Technology, responsible for the Workers’ Compensation Application Development teams in support of our networks and specialty services. Ms. Dickson joined the company in 1990 as a software engineer and brings over 25 years of information technology experience in the healthcare arena.
Vice President, Network Contracting
Jill Harris is responsible for provider network operations, provider dispute resolution and direct network contracting. She has 27 years of experience in network management, contract negotiation, credentialing, training, acquisition management, and project and team leadership. Jill and her team are responsible for contracting with facilities, professional and specialty providers in support of our clients.
Vice President, Product Strategy & Analytics
Anne Levins is responsible for overseeing product development and information strategy efforts. She is accountable for setting strategic direction and driving business growth in the workers’ compensation market, including employers, third party administrators, and insurance carriers. Anne began her career with Intracorp in provider recruitment and account management. Since that time her role has evolved into a number of analytic and information strategy leadership positions and ultimately into her most recent role leading product development and information strategy.
